Diversity Statement

SBC holds the position that it is our responsibility to create and maintain programs and events with a climate that affirms diversity of persons as well as diversity of views. SBC is committed to the inclusion, welcome, and support of individuals in our community with varied characteristics with regard to race, ethnicity, gender, age, socioeconomic background, sexual orientation, religion, and physical and mental ability.

The values and beliefs of SBC are recognized as independent of those held by organizations providing the facilities and hosting SBC events. Consequently, the use of a particular venue for an SBC-sponsored event neither implies endorsement of, nor affiliation with, hosting organizations or their internal mission, vision, or values. Furthermore, each organization that hosts SBC events acknowledges the SBC position statement on diversity.
